When your child’s 20 primary teeth are gradually restored their set of 32 adult teeth, it’s possible for minor alterations to occur. In many cases, the divergence in their dentition can be major.

If a misalignment is not corrected, your child’s mouth will be at an increased risk of tooth decay and dental fractures. That’s why it’s so important to schedule a braces consultation at Orthodontics by Dr. Burson. This will enable Dr. Stacee Burson and our expert staff to determine the severity of the misalignment and the best method to correct it.

If they have significant alignment issues, like an underbite or overbite, your orthodontist might recommend traditional braces. After multiple adjustments this will bring their teeth into the correct alignment for a healthier mouth and a beautiful smile.

If your son or daughter doesn’t like the look of traditional braces, we can apply a ceramic glaze to the visible braces components. This special type of dental porcelain can be shaded to match tooth enamel, making the braces less noticeable.

If your child only has minor alignment issues, we might be able to fit them with clear plastic aligners such as Invisalign®. These clear plastic aligners can progressively correct the alignment of their teeth in a shorter amount of time.
